Terms of Service
Last updated September 2026
1. Acceptance of terms
By creating an account, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, don't use the app.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use Thirty. By creating an account, you confirm that you are 18 or older. We verify this using the birthdate you provide at sign-up.
3. Your account
You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account. You agree to provide accurate information, including your legal name if required (see Section 4) and a real, current photo.
4. Identity and accountability
Male users are required to provide a legal first and last name during sign-up. This information is used only for accountability and safety purposes — it is never shown publicly on your profile or to other users, except where you and another user mutually agree to exchange contact information after a date.
5. How Thirty works
Thirty limits users to 3 active matches at a time, a shared message allowance per match, and facilitates short in-person meetups. Matches that go unused for an extended period may expire automatically to free up your available slots. We may modify these mechanics over time.
6. Meeting people in person — your safety
Thirty facilitates introductions between users, but we do not conduct criminal background checks, and we cannot guarantee the identity, intentions, or safety of any user you interact with or meet in person. You are solely responsible for your own safety when communicating with or meeting other users. We strongly encourage you to:
- Meet in the public venue proposed within the app
- Tell a friend or family member where you're going, and consider using the in-app "Share with a trusted contact" feature
- Trust your instincts and leave if you feel uncomfortable — the app supports this by design with its time-boxed meetup format
We are not liable for the conduct of any user, on or off the platform, or for any interaction, meeting, or relationship that results from use of the app.
7. Prohibited conduct
You agree not to:
- Misrepresent your identity, age, or relationship intentions
- Harass, threaten, or abuse other users
- Use the app for any commercial solicitation, or to promote another service
- Attempt to circumvent the app's matching, messaging, or moderation mechanics
- Share another user's personal information without their consent
8. Reporting, blocking, and moderation
You can block another user at any time, which ends that match immediately. You can also report concerning behavior. We investigate reports and may take enforcement action, including suspending or terminating accounts, based on a pattern of verified reports. We reserve the right to remove content or suspend accounts at our discretion to protect the safety of our community.
9. Account termination
You may delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account if we determine you've violated these terms or engaged in behavior that harms the safety of the community.
10. Intellectual property
The Thirty app, its design, and its content (excluding user-submitted content like photos, bios, and messages) belong to us. You retain ownership of the content you submit, but grant us a license to use it as necessary to operate the app (e.g., displaying your profile to other users).
11. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The app is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including but not limited to any interactions or meetings with other users.
12. Dispute resolution and governing law
[This section requires legal input specific to your jurisdiction — British Columbia/Canadian law, arbitration clauses, and class-action waiver language, if desired, should be drafted by counsel rather than templated.]
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
